Former Pakan Prime Miner Imran Khan’s party Pakan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has decided to stage protests outside Adiala jail in Rawalpindi where the founding chairman of the party is incarcerated and outside the Islamabad High Court on Tuesday against the alleged restriction on visiting the leader inside jail, Pakani news website Dawn reported.
The decision PTI to protest outside the Adiala jail and high court came as the adminration imposed a ban on public gatherings in both Rawalpindi and the capital city of Islamabad. The drict adminration in Rawalpindi issued directives to ban public gatherings on Monday for three days, whereas the federal capital adminration put a ban on public gatherings on November 18 for two months.
Quoting PTI leader Asad Qaiser, Dawn reported that opposition lawmakers from both the houses of parliament have decided to first stage a protest outside the Islamabad High Court and then will move their demonstration to Adiala jail in Rawalpindi. “It has been decided to hold protests because IHC has failed to implement its order and the Adiala jail adminration is not willing to implement the court orders,” Qaiser said.

Qaiser further informed that he would attend a public gathering in Quetta on Tuesday, and advocate Gohar Ali Khan and other leaders would stage protests in Rawalpindi and Islamabad. The PTI leader claimed that Pakan’s parliamentary committee has demanded the release of Imran Khan and the committee has said that the adminration is committing a human rights violation stopping the former prime miner from meeting his family members.
Meanwhile, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Miner Sohail Afridi last week staged a sit-in protest outside the Adiala jail as he was reportedly restricted from meeting Imran Khan for the eighth time.
Khan’s family members have also not been allowed to meet him for several weeks now. Amid speculations and rumours surrounding the former prime miner’s health, the government and PTI leaders said that the PTI chairman was in good health, Dawn reported.
