An Indian content creator has shared a video explaining three reasons why her Schengen visa was rejected, warning her followers not to make the same makes that she did. Toh usme bola ki hotel accommodation temporary sound kar rahe hain,” she said.Roughly translated, it means that the purpose of her visit and her accommodation arrangements were questioned. ChatGPT explained to her that her hotel bookings may have seemed temporary or doubtful.Finally, it was a very simple error — for which she blamed her visa agent — that sealed the deal. Garima Singh said that one of her documents was submitted with an incorrect spelling of her name.“What was the point of hiring an agent agar ye silly make toh main khud hi kar leti bhai? Why did I pay someone for this foolishness?)” she said.Points to keep in mindIn the caption, Singh shared a l of pointers to keep in mind while applying for a Schengen visa.“Don’t show multiple professions without establishing one clear primary profession,” she warned, also adding that “sudden income jumps” without proper documentation can be deemed suspicious.She also highlighted how a high bank balance or strong ITR does not automatically mean that your visa application is good. Instead, a number of reasons can lead to rejection, including an “unnecessarily long Schengen trip” – especially if a person is travelling for the first time.
