Legendary significance of Garhmukteswar fair, all-round development: Yogi

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh’s Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the Garhmukteshwar Mela has a mythological significance and its all-round development will be done keeping its significance in view. The Yogi inaugurated the funding of schemes worth Rs 29.99 lakh and Rs 21 lakhs in the evening on the Garh Ganga coast of Hapur district.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister announced that development work will be done at Garhmukteshwar at a cost of Rs. 20 crores. He also launched ‘AP’ prepared for all information of the Ganga Ganga Mela and also released the conceptual development pamphlet for the all round development of Hapur district. He announced the linking of the Garh Ganga and the Tiger Fair together. He also got Ganga Aarti here. The Chief Minister said that the people of the states of Delhi, Haryana, Punjab and Uttarakhand, including the districts of the district, are also involved in the Garh Ganga Mela. The devotees wish their salvation by donating a lamp to their ancestors and paying tribute. It is believed that the history of this historic fair is in the Mahabharata carpet.

He said that India is a country of faith. He thanked the people here for maintaining the traditional traditions of the Gangetic Gale Mela that have come from ancient times.
For this he thanked the senior officials of Meerut, Moradabad and Saharanpur Mandal for this. The Chief Minister said that work has been done to facilitate the devotees of the Ganga Mela, which has been organized in both Hapur and Amroha districts and rehabilitated them. He said that the tourism department will develop a guest house, amusement park, laser sound and shed for devotees in the fort. Which will cost around Rs 20 crores.
