Mafia now crawling like worms: Yogi
Lambasting the previous Samajwadi Party government for sheltering mafia and criminals, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that that the mafia which was committing heinous crimes in the last regime are now crawling like worms instead of flaunting ‘tamanchas’ (guns) in open jeeps.
Addressing a poll rally in Saiyad Raja Assembly constituency of Chandauli on Friday, the Chief Minister said, “If the state will has a ‘dumdar’ (strong) government, then bulldozer and development will go hand in hand.”
Yogi further claimed that the BJP had taken a decisive lead over the opposition parties in the six phases of polls held so far and trends showed that it has already crossed the score of 275.
“When the election results are declared on March 10, then only the BJP will be visible in the state and due to the fear of defeat, several SP-BSP leaders have started making flight bookings to flee abroad,” he said.
The Chief Minister went on to say that professional criminals who had come out of their ‘holes’ during the elections to spread anarchy in the state have realised that their motives will not be fulfilled and have hence been searching for holes to hide. Hitting out at the previous SP government over providing uninterrupted power supply only during Eid and Moharram festivals, Yogi said, “Before 2017, even electricity had a religion but during the BJP regime uninterrupted power supply is being provided for everyone, irrespective of caste and religion.”
“People are also being provided free vaccines, free testing facilities and free treatment along with free double-dose of foodgrains. Had there been the government of SP or BSP, even the vaccine would have been black marketed,” Yogi said. The Chief Minister further maintained that if the BJP returned to power in Uttar Pradesh, the state government would provide free LPG to every poor household during Diwali and Holi and free scooty to meritorious girl students. “Besides, the amount of money given under Kanya Sumangala Yojana will be increased to Rs 25,000 while under Mukhyamantri Samuhik Vivah Yojana, Rs 1 lakh will be transferred,” he assured.
Yogi claimed that over 5 lakh youths were given government jobs during his tenure while 2 crore youths were connected with employment. “We are also distributing tablets and smartphones to one crore youths and the SP has objected to it. The Samajwadi Party believes development should be of Saifai family only. Only Saifai Mahotsav used to be held under the SP regime and even the organisers were unaware of what was happening.”
The BJP government has worked towards the development of sites and monuments which gives an identity to the country and the state. “Beautification of Baba Keenaram’s birthplace and Taposthali are being carried out in Chandauli. At the same time, along with the construction of Lord Shri Ram’s temple in Ayodhya, Kashi Vishwanath Dham, Mathura, Gokul and Vrindavan are being beautified,” he added.
