Memorandum seeking clearance of Imams, Muezzins’ due honoraria submitted to CM

Former member of Madhya Pradesh State Haj Committee Sarfaraz Hasan demanded clearance of overdue honorarium of Imams and Muezzins pending for past 4-5 months creating financial problems for sustenance.

In a letter to Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan regarding payments of Imams and Muezzins memorandum which has been pending for over five months Hasan has pointed that the honorarium is paid which is lower than collector rates, making them to fulfill their needs a hard job in the high level of prevailing inflation.

Hasan has requested CM Chouhan to consider the problems faced by Imams and Muezzins and requested to order concerned departments for making arrangements of honorarium.

In the past also during two of their major festivals none of the minority institutions have been paid honorarium.
