MP: Congress Government ready to revive traditional Ramleela culture
Only few days after Ram Van Gaman Path project was announced, the Congress Government is now ready to revive the traditional Ramleela culture, a dramatic depiction of epic Ramayana. The Government would construct Ramleela stages at all the 378 municipalities and nagar parishads.
The Kamal Nath Government that has time and again made it clear that it would follow the soft Hindutva policies had been working on establishing gaushalas, preparing Ram Van Gaman Path and now it has proposed to revive the tradition of Ramleela.
While addressing a public function in Bareli of Raisen district on Monday, the Urban Administration and Development Minister, Jaivardhan Singh, said that Ramleela is part of our tradition and old identity.
“It is our collective responsibility to preserve this tradition and keep it alive,” said the Minister. And for the purpose, the Minister announced that Ramleela stages would be built at all the 378 municipalities and nagar parishads.
Notably, after coming to power, the Kamal Nath Government has announced to build 1,000 cowsheds in Madhya Pradesh setting aside Rs 132 crore budget for the project.
The State Government is even roping in corporates to build modern cowsheds under their CSR initiatives.
Recently, the State Government has chalked out a blueprint to develop Ram Van Gaman Path, a mythological route undertaken by lord Ram, his brother Laxman and goddess Sita during the 14-year-exile.
The project also envisages developing Chitrakoot, as the first spiritual city of the State.
Meanwhile, the BJP still sounds suspicious about intentions of the Congress Government. BJP spokesperson Rajneesh Agrawal said the party which withdrew budget of bhajan keertan mandlis soon after coming to power seems to be remembering lord Ram under political compulsions.
