Interestingly, India spin legend Anil Kumble is the only player to win the Player of the Match (PoTM) award in a final while ending up on the losing side.

Kumble had produced a magnificent spell of 4/16 for RCB in the 2009 final against Deccan Chargers as his team ended up short six runs.
