‘I keep hearing chants for Mahi bhai, crowd wait for me to get out’: Ravindra Jadeja on batting ahead of MS Dhoni

Despite being the second most capped player in CSK, the star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja showed his dilemma of batting ahead of the captain cool Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
“It becomes really hard when you are batting in the middle order of a team where you have MS Dhoni. Despite MS Dhoni is close to three years of his retirement but the craze of fans and love for him is like a never-ending thing. No matter, CSK playing at its home ground or not, a huge crowd are coming just to see one glimpse of legend MS Dhoni,” Jadeja said  after CSK beat DC on Wednesday.
“Whenever, any player comes to bat ahead of MS Dhoni, fans pray for the player’s dismissal so that Dhoni can come to bat in the field,” he added.
Jadeja also shared his experience, “I keep hearing Mahi bhai’s chants. If I bat higher, then the crowd will wait for me to get out. As long as the team wins, I am happy,” he said when asked in the post-match presentation whether he would want to bat higher.
The chants of Dhoni, Dhoni continuously rocking the stadiums and when CSK loses three wickets or more the volume of Dhoni Sounds increases. This shows the love and admiration of fans for CSK Skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
Dhoni has not played long knocks in any of the matches this season but is batting with the strike rate of 204, putting impact in every game and contributing for the team.

“This is what my job is, I have told them this is what I am supposed to do, don’t make me run a lot and it has been working. This is what I need to do, happy to contribute,” Dhoni said about his batting position.
