Rinku Singh, Jitesh Sharma share experience

India vs Ireland: When India take on Ireland in the 3-match T20I series which will start on Friday, a host of players who have often dreamt of wearing the national colours will have a chance to live it. Two players among them are Rinku Singh and Jitesh Sharma, both of whom got called up to the squad due to their exceptional performances in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
“I feel very nice. It’s a player’s dream to be playing for the Indian national team. When I got to my room and saw my jersey which had my name and the number 35 emblazoned on it, it was a very emotional feeling,” Rinku said in an interaction with Sharma for BCCI.tv.
“I was in Noida, in the place where I practiced. When the team was announced, it felt really good. I called my mother and informed her. She always said that I had to play for India so both of our dreams came true,” the Kolkata Knight Riders batter added.

Both Rinku and Jitesh were handed their debuts in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy back in 2013 where the former represented UP while the latter was a Vidarbha player.

“Obviously, I feel great. It’s always a nice experience when you travel with the Indian team to any foreign country. It’s an opportunity and our responsibility to express ourselves,” Jitesh said.
Meanwhile, after almost 11 months since he hobbled off the field, Jasprit Bumrah will be cynosure of all eyes when he leads India as the fast bowler’s fitness and rhythm will be tested in the three-match T20 International series.
The 29-year-old Bumrah is coming back after undergoing a surgery to treat the lower-back stress fractures he had suffered during a home series against Australia ahead of T20 World Cup, last year.
