Rain and Cooler Temperatures Bring Relief from Heat

Raipur- People have struggled under oppressive heat for days across the state’s plains and hills. Thankfully this difficult chapter has come to an end as temperatures cool down. After enduring harsh conditions, residents can finally take comfort in some relief from the searing heat. Several regions experienced a cloudy sky and light rainfall, leading to a noticeable shift in weather patterns and a temperature drop. The light showers have brought about a welcome change in the weather across various state divisions, with the Meteorological Department predicting a decrease in maximum temperatures for the day. Additionally, there are possibilities of rain and strong winds in many areas.
An upper air cyclonic circulation persing over the west, central, and northwest Bay of Bengal has played a significant role in these weather fluctuations. Previously, the state had been reeling under a heatwave, causing immense hardship for the people and a relentless rise in temperatures. However, the late-night rainfall offers some respite from the oppressive conditions.
As a result of the rain, south and central Chhattisgarh can expect a continuous decline in the highest temperatures, accompanied a cloudy sky in Raipur and its surrounding areas. The Raipur Meteorological Center states that rainfall is expected across different regions of our state over the next couple of days.
