Sidharth Nath Singh hits out at Akhilesh

Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav was the target of his political opponents and on social media after his announcement to get the jab.

UP government spokesman and Cabinet Minister Sidharth Nath Singh called him a ‘paltu neta’, saying Akhilesh Yadav was forced to eat his own words. Akhilesh Yadav had dubbed the Covid vaccine as “BJP vaccine” and had announced that he would not take the jab.

Akhilesh Yadav was trolled at the micro blogging site Twitter where a user asked whether the “Samajwadi Party has formed the government in UP and free vaccine is given to all”. Another user wanted to know “whether Samajwadi Party vaccine was given to his father Mulayam Singh Yadav”. SP patron Mulayam Singh Yadav took the vaccine at a private hospital at Gurugram on Monday.

“Better late than never. The vaccine has been developed by the scientists of India, not by any political party. In the game of political one-upmanship you made an irresponsible statement. In future you should take the guidance from your father Mulayam Singh Yadav before making statements.” said another twitter user.

“After his U-turn on the coronavirus vaccine people have started calling him ‘paltu neta’. He is the former chief minister and is expected to make responsible statements,” said Sidharth Nath Singh here on Tuesday.
