‘There’s so much support for RCB, we have to win trophy for them. We have to’ – Kohli repeats in team bus video | Ipl News

Thousands of RCB supporters from Chinnaswamy spilled onto the streets and tried to wave to the team bus headed back to the hotel after the hone team’s win over CSK on Sunday night.
Cops managing the public were forced to run with laathis keeping crazed fans out of the way from getting themselves killed under the bus, they foolishly were trying to wave to treading in its path. But the absolute delirium of thousands lining the roads, prompted Virat Kohli to utter, “There’s so much support for RCB. We have to win trophy for them. We have to. Imagine what if we do!”
The bus trip video as it moved at a gentler speed even at 12.30 am, left fans chanting RCB, RCB in its wake, and a dozen policemen frantically running ahead of the bus trying to stop the fans from drifting into its path in their excitement. Kunal Pandhya who was also seen in the RCB video, said, “Unbelievable. Crazy scenes.”

Another player would say, “We feel blessed to have such support.”
CSK were already out of contention but the narrow win pushed RCB to the top of the table, with their entire fleet coming through with fibe performances, including Virat Kohli, who regained the Orange Cap. Yash Dayal bowled a stunning last over to leave CSK two runs short, and the fans’ joy knew no bounds.

Fans waved with yellow-red Bangalore flags, screamed their lungs out and followed the bus on two-wheelers. “We request all our fans on two wheelers to wear helmets abd ride,” the video was captioned, as the mania crescendoed with fans on motorbikes with RCB flags fluttering flanked the bus – minus the helmets.
RCB has never won the IPL. But its fans remain undaunted and herd out to Chinnaswamy to packed houses each time they play, never mind the disappointments. The captive crazies however have had enough reasons to celebrate this year.
Their South side der with CSK for both sets of crazed fans, though RCB have been on a vibe-max about how the 18th season might just be theirs. Home wins have trickled in and surged in recent weeks, and it was no surprise that Kohli was once more struck the outline of the elusive trophy, voicing his dream to win it finally.
