Unlock in phases begins in MP, CM lauds Cabinet role

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that it is due to the hard work and teamwork of the members of the Cabinet that corona has come under control in the State. Now we are in a comfortable position. As a result of this, 1078 positive cases were reported on Monday, the positivity rate is now 1.5 per cent and 4,120 persons have recovered. The recovery rate has gone up to 96.36 per cent, which is satisfactory.

Chouhan said that the process of unlocking has been started in a phased manner in the State. Now people have to be constantly inspired to adopt Covid friendly behaviour. For this the student power of the State will have to come forward. College students, NSS and NCC cadets will be trained as master trainers and their services will be taken in public awareness campaign. Chouhan was addressing the ministers before the meeting of the Cabinet. The meeting of the Council of Ministers began with the rendition of Vande Mataram at Mantralaya.

Chouhan said that there was not a single positive case in Alirajpur yesterday. Less than 10 cases have been reported in 36 districts of the State. Our target was to reach the status of zero per cent cases by May 31. The fact that we have reached the single digit number of cases in 36 districts of the State means that we have reached the target. Only in Bhopal and Indore, the positivity rate is more than 5 per cent. Different strategies will be worked out in these two cities.

Chouhan said that the State has reached this situation due to the mobility of Crisis Management Groups and its working along with the people. All the members of the Council of Ministers deserve to be congratulated for this satisfactory condition.

Chouhan said that corona has to be locked. Therefore, an environment has to be created among the people to adopt Covid Appropriate Behaviour. It is the responsibility of all the members of the Cabinet to work in their respective areas in this direction. To follow the Covid guidelines, people will have to be inspired to follow activities like wearing masks, maintaining distance, washing hands frequently, making circles in front of shops etc.

Chouhan said that he himself will visit some districts to create an atmosphere in this direction. Chouhan said that all the members of the Council of Ministers should visit the districts under their charge. He told them to communicate with the public, give necessary instructions to the officers and fulfill their responsibility by motivating the people for Covid appropriate behavior.

Chouhan also directed the members of the Cabinet to run a campaign focused on public awareness for vaccination in their respective districts.
