Uttar Pradesh government’s cabinet meeting will be held today, second supplementary budget

Lucknow. Today the cabinet meeting under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will be held in Lok Bhavana. The second supplementary budget will be stamped in this meeting.

Uttar Pradesh cabinet meeting will be held in Lok Bhavan this evening. It is likely to decide on several important proposals, with the approval of the second supplementary budget draft of 2018-19. The supplementary budget could be around 11 thousand crore rupees. Finance Minister Rajesh Agarwal will present a second supplementary budget of the current financial year at 12.20 in winter session in Vidhan Bhawan. It will pass this cabinet today.

In supplementary budget, proposals related to Public Works, Prayagraj Kumbh, Javar Airport, Energy, Swachh Bharat Mission and Forests and Environment related proposals may get place. Due to the payment of arrears and bonus-DA for the seventh pay, the fiscal condition of the treasury is not very good at this time due to the very necessary and selected proposals are likely to be available in the second supplement. Proposals related to completing incomplete works in budget proposals have been given special attention.

After the last session, the state government is also offering the reimbursement of the amount taken from the contingency fund in the supplementary. There is no possibility of announcement of any major new scheme in second supplement. Apart from this, the Cabinet can also approve the draft of water purification and sewer system (amendment) Ordinance. Under this, it is proposed to reinstate the post of chairman of Water Corporation again under the scope of profit. A sewage project of Jaunpur costing more than Rs 200 crores may also be approved.
