Watch: Israeli missile strikes Iran’s state TV studio during live broadcast | World News

A live news broadcast on Iranian state television was interrupted on Monday evening when an Israeli missile strike hit near the studio in Tehran. The incident was caught on air, with footage shared widely on social media platform X.
In the clip, a female presenter is seen reading the news when a loud explosion occurs. The lights flicker and debris falls as she quickly leaves the frame. The screen behind her also appears to be damaged. The broadcast then switches to pre-recorded content.

Iran’s Islamic Republic of Iran News Network (IRINN) reported that the blast caused dust and debris to enter the studio. “The studio is filling with dust following the sound of aggression against the homeland,” a correspondent said during the disrupted segment.
Iran’s state-run news agency confirmed that the strike hit the state broadcaster’s building and that a live programme had to be stopped as a result.

Earlier in the day, the Israeli military had issued an evacuation warning for a drict in northern Tehran where the television and radio offices are located. Now, Israeli Defence Miner Israel Katz has said that the strike was intentional.
“Iran’s state television and radio are about to disappear,” he said, in a statement reported media outlets. Minutes later, Israel officially confirmed it had carried out the attack on the broadcaster, as reported The Guardian.
The airstrike came on the fourth day of heightened conflict between Israel and Iran, with missile exchanges reported across both countries. The Israeli military claims it is targeting infrastructure used Iranian forces, while Iranian officials have described the attacks as acts of war.
