Water from Ganga to be supplied to every house in Firozabad, Tundla: Yogi

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that instead of reverse osmosis (RO) water, the water from Ganga will be supplied to every house in Firozabad and Tundla through the ‘Har Nal Ghar Yojana’.

Addressing a huge gathering as part of his marathon poll campaign, Yogi said, “We are delivering safe drinking water to people which will fail even RO water. We will deliver Ganga water to every household.”

“We are also committed to protecting farmers’ interests. Of the Rs 36,000 crore loan of 86 lakh farmers of the state waived by our government in the last five years, 54,000 farmers were from Firozabad. Besides, 2,56,800 farmers are getting Rs 6000 annually under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme,” he said. The Chief Minister said that 54,000 poor and deprived people were provided houses in Firozabad under PM Awas Yojana in the last five years whereas during Samajwadi Party’s tenure, only 18,000 people were given houses under the scheme.

Lauding the Union Government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s tackling of the Covid pandemic, Yogi said that the Uttar Pradesh Government tried its best to save the life of every person and their livelihood during the pandemic. The Chief Minister further said that 100 percent of the state’s population has taken Covid vaccine despite the misinformation campaign launched by the opposition parties. Also, the UP Government tried its best to save the life and livelihood of every worker, native or migrant during the pandemic,” he said.

Yogi pointed out that his government was providing an annual pension of Rs 12,000 to 57154 elderly, 14,415 differently-abled and 38,873 to widows in Firozabad; the same pension which had been stopped by the previous Samajwadi Party government.

“Opposition parties have looted traders, collected goonda tax and extortion from innocent residents, but under the double engine government they are safe. Kanwar Yatra is being taken out peacefully while bulldozers are running and continue to raze illegal properties of the mafia,” he remarked.

The Chief Minister further said that the BJP will register a landslide victory in the ongoing Assembly election because of the work it has done for people without any bias. Taking a jibe at the SP, Yogi said that when they were in power they withdrew cases against terrorists, while when the BJP took over, illegal slaughter houses were shut down and waived farmers’ loans. “It is for the first time that the farmers have benefited in the real sense and this is troubling the uncle and the nephew,” he remarked.
