When Ranjeet’s father threw him out of his house for pulling actress Raakhee’s hair: ‘He said baap ki naak kata di’ | Bollywood News

Veteran actor Ranjeet is among the evergreen villains of Bollywood, who was part of almost all the big films, made between 70s to 2000s. The actor started his career in 1970 and went on to star in films like Hulchul (1971), Laila Majnu (1976), Dharam Veer (1977), and latest being Housefull 4 (2019). While now known for starring in over 200 films, Ranjeet was thrown out of his own house after his first film. Not because he became an actor, but because he molested Raakhee on screen.
During his appearance on The Kapil Sharma Show post COVID-19 pandemic, Ranjeet had recalled the time when he did his first film Sharmeelee which disappointed his father.He shared, “When I did my first film, Sharmeelee, my father threw me out of the house. He was like ‘Baap ka naak kata diya’.”
Sharing the reason behind his disappointment, Ranjeet said, “He was mad at me because I molested Raakhee in the film. It showed me tearing her clothes and pulling her hair.”

Ranjeet then recalled his dad’s reaction and said, “He was like if you had to act, you could have taken up doctor, engineer, police’s role, what have you done? What are you doing molesting a girl?”
Previously, talking to IANS, Ranjeet said, “I am completing 50 years in the film industry. I have lived life on my own terms. I did not have a godfather. Despite the image (of a baddie), I have never been involved in any controversy all these years. I can say that I have lived very gracefully.”
Ranjeet’s acting career happened out of the blue. He was someone selected for the Indian Air Force, but he left it during training. One time while attending a party in Mumbai, a Producer offered him a film, to which he immediately said yes. However, his first film never sae the light of the day as it never got completed.
