WPL Auction 2025: The third Women’s Premier League auction will be held in Bengaluru ahead of the WPL 2025 season on Sunday.
The five franchises will have the opportunity to sharpen themselves ahead of the forthcoming WPL edition with 19 spots left in the auction. In 2023, the Mumbai Indians became the first champions, and earlier this year Royal Challengers Bengaluru won the championship, with the Delhi Capitals coming in second both times.
One team has three openings, while four franchises each have four positions to fill. There are 120 participants on the final shortl for the mini-auction, including 29 foreign players and 91 Indian players.
Only three players – Deandra Dottin, Lizelle Lee and Heather Knight – have led themselves in the highest base price bracket of Rs 50 lakh.
Uncapped Indians Ira Jadhav and Anshu Nagar are the youngest players in the WPL 2025 auction, aged 14. Meanwhile, Knight and Laura Harris are the oldest, having led themselves at 34.
