Zakir Khan didn’t recognise BTS members despite being in the same room, mook them for ‘behind-the-scenes’ crew: ‘People fainted’ | Bollywood News

Comedian Zakir Khan has become one of the most recognisable names in the Indian stand-up comedy scene. He regularly embarks on world tours with his stand-up specials and has performed at prestigious venues like the Royal Albert Hall in the UK. Recently, Zakir recalled his trip to Korea where he met the globally popular boy band BTS but didn’t recognise them. He even ended up asking one of the members who they were.
Narrating the incident during a chat with The Lallantop, Zakir explained that he tends to overthink things, which may have contributed to him not recognising the K-pop band while being in the same room with them. He shared, “I happened to go to Korea once, and there is a very famous band there the name of BTS. I knew there is a band called BTS and I also know that they are famous. And chance I went there for an event to interview a very big celebrity and the band was also there to meet the same person.”
He added, “Because I was late, I was in the last batch with those members of the band. So I asked one of the members, ‘Who are you and where are you from’, and he told me they are from BTS. I thought that the Korean organising team has called for a behind-the-scenes team. I was totally unaware of the fact that they are famous people. Later, when I told people that for 35 minutes I was in the same room as them, they fainted.”

The band BTS conss of Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook. The band temporarily took a break as its members enled for compulsory military training. However, all of them have now completed their service and are pursuing solo careers. Recently, Jin and J-Hope performed at sold-out shows in Tokyo and Berlin. Meanwhile, V, Jungkook, Jimin, and RM have been going live and interacting with fans.
