19 Girl Students Found Corona Positive In Dhamtari

Dhamtari: 19 girl students have been found corona infected in the Girls Hostel of Dhmatari drict. All these girl students live in Government Pre Matric Schedule Tribe Girls Hostel Nagri. On complaining of cold and cough, the girl students were brought to the city hospital for examination, where they were confirmed for the infection.
There are 40 girls in the hostel and the Superintendent had received complaints of 4 girls having symptoms who then contacted the BMO Nagri DR Thakur. Besides, 30 girl students who came in contact with these girls have returned home, a matter of concern.
All the infected girls brought to the hospital ambulance are now quarantined in 3 rooms. 29 other girl students were tested, out of which 8 students were found corona positive. A total of 19 girl students have been found corona positive. All infected are from the age group 14 to 15 years.
The hostel is a home for 70 girl students. All remaining students have been shifted to another room and quarantined. The surveillance team is looking for the contact hory of the infected. A total of 242 people were investigated in the drict. With this, the infection rate has gone up 8.67%.
