2 Arrested for Ganja Smuggling in CG
KOTWALI: The Kotwali Police arrested two accused in connection to possesion of 5 quintals of Ganja hidden in sacks carrying chicken feed.
Acting on the information recived, the police kept an eye on the parked truck in the market. On suspicious replies from the driver while interrogating him the matter of smuggling was unearthed.
The accused are identified as Jai Kishan Sahu is a resident of Rajnandgaon and Chandrabhushan Sahu is a resident of Raipur. According to sources, the chicken feed arrived in Chhattisgarh from Orissa.
At a press conference, Addition SP confirmed the seizure highlighting that there were 150 sacks of chicken feed out of which 15 had ganja stored. The accused have been presented before the court and a case have been regered under the Narcotic Acts and relevant sections of IPC.
