7 Dead After Bus Rams into Parked Truck

Passenger laden bus rams into parked truck in Korba drict.7 dead and dozens injured in the accident.The driver is arrested and those injured have been hospitalized.

Korba, CG: In a tragic incident in the wee hours of Monday, 7 people on board a bus died after it rammed into a stationary trailer in Korba drict of CG, police said. The dead include 3 men, 2 women and two children. More than 12 have been injured out of which those critical are been treated at Korba drict Hospital the police added.

According to information the police, the bus was heading to Sitapur from Raipur and the accident took place at 4 am early morning. The incident took place near Madai ghat on National Highway 130 under Bango PS of Korba.

Superintendent of police, Korba, Santosh Singh, in a statement said the bus driver was arrested after the incident. He added that the collision occurred in an attempt the driver to avert the collision.

Chhattisgarh chief miner Bhupesh Baghel expressed his grief over the incident and instructed officials to provide treatment to the injured.
