Drunk Doc Trashes Patient in CG; Video Goes Viral

KORBA: A video of a healthcare provider trashing woman- who apparently is a patient at the medical college in CG’s Korba has been making rounds on the internet. Acting on the inhuman nature, the hospital management has issued a show-cause notice against the doctor.
In the video, an intoxicated doctor is seen allegedly beating the patient who was brought to the hospital as she needed immediate medical help. The patient’s son Shyam Kumar said that he had brought his mother in an autorickshaw as her health deteriorated on Wednesday night. On protesting the doctors’ action he was asked to keep quiet, he said interacting with the police officials.
Further investigation is underway. The Dean of Medical College Hospital Dr Avinash Meshram has asserted that stringent action would be taken against the doctor.
