Senior Police Officer Injured at Protests in Bastar

BASTAR: A senior police officer in Bastar was injured as he tried to stop the mob vandalizing a church amidst protests in CGs Naranyanpur drict on Monday. The police have said a case will be regered and arrest the accused.
The injured SP of Narayanpur along with his team is said to have attempted to oversee the protests that broke out near the Vishwa Dipti Chrian school this afternoon. A video of the SP clutching his head as blood trickled down his face.

A meeting was held an Adivasi group to protest against the clash that took place between two communities over religious conversion in Bharkapur in Edka village on Sunday. The meeting soon spiraled into a big argument between two opposing groups. Chairs were hurled at and stones were pelted turning the fight into massive chaos forcing the involvement of security personnel.
Interacting with the reporters at the hospital where he was immediately rushed, he said- After being alerted about it, I immediately rushed to the spot with other officials and tried to pacify the protesters. They seemed convinced and were about to return, but suddenly someone hit me with a stick on my head.
