Fierce Encounter Between Naxals and Security Personnel in Bastar

BASTAR: In a fierce gun battle with law enforcement personnel on Wednesday, Naxals suffered heavy casualties. An encounter broke out between the CPI Maos and security officials in the forests of the Naxal dominated Bastar division.
As per inputs, a joint team of DRG,STF and CoBRA personnel launched a combing operation acting on a tip-off. They were ambushed and an exchange of fire lasted more than half an hour said Addl SP Chandrakant.
During the search, rebel materials were seized from their possession. Some suspects were also taken into custody.
