Chhattisgarh’s Bhupesh Baghel Plans ‘Nation’s Largest Wholesale Market’ in Nava Raipur
Raipur: Chhattisgarh’s Chief Miner Bhupesh Baghel has unveiled ambitious plans to establish the “nation’s largest wholesale market” in Nava Raipur, covering an extensive area of 438.47 hectares in Sector 27 of the state capital. The project, spearheaded the Nava Raipur Atal Nagar Development Authority (NRANVP), aims to cater to the needs of both large and small traders, providing essential facilities and amenities.
During a recent review meeting at the Chief Miner’s residence, Baghel urged NRANVP officials to swiftly implement the action plan for this groundbreaking venture. Recognizing the significance of accommodating the requirements of traders of all scales, Baghel emphasized the need to foster rapid business growth and promote vibrant commercial activities. He directed the officials to prioritize the development of the wholesale market, highlighting its pivotal role in the economic progress of the region. The meeting also assessed the progress of citizen services and rural development initiatives.
Expressing satisfaction with the successful implementation of the “Mitan Yojana,” Baghel commended the convenience it offers citizens in accessing government schemes without the need to visit government offices. A notable expansion of the Mitan scheme has been its extension from municipal corporation areas to include municipalities across the state, benefiting a larger population.
The Mitan scheme has been instrumental in facilitating the doorstep delivery of various documents to 1,03,315 beneficiaries in municipal corporations throughout the state. With a high demand for Aadhaar card regrations for children, “Mitan” has emerged as the most popular service provider. The efficient processing of caste and income certificates has also been accomplished. To further enhance accessibility and convenience, officials shared plans to introduce a dedicated Mitan Yojana app.
