CM Baghel Transfers Rs. 34.55Cr To Unemployment Allowance Beneficiaries
Raipur: Chhattisgarh Chief Miner Bhupesh Baghel transferred Rs 34.55 crore as the fifth installment of the Unemployment Allowance Scheme to 1,29,886 beneficiaries.
The transfer was made through a virtual program organized at the Chief Miner’s residence office in Raipur. The beneficiaries were selected from across the state based on their regration with the Chhattisgarh Berojgari Bhatta Yojana (Unemployment Allowance Scheme).
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Miner Baghel said that the scheme was launched to provide financial assance to the educated unemployed youth of the state. He said that the scheme has been a major relief for the unemployed youth and has helped them to meet their basic expenses.
He also said that the state government is committed to providing employment opportunities to the youth and is taking various initiatives in this direction. He said that the government is also providing skill training to the youth so that they can become self-employed.
The Unemployment Allowance Scheme is a flagship program of the Chhattisgarh government. Under the scheme, the state government provides a monthly allowance of Rs 2,500 to the unemployed youth who are regered with the scheme. The scheme is open to all unemployed youth who have passed Class 12 or equivalent examination.
The fifth installment of the scheme was released in August 2023. So far, the state government has released a total of Rs 146.98 crore under the scheme to over 1.29 lakh beneficiaries.
