125 counters opened for registration on GST portal
RAIPUR: State’s commercial taxes department has opened 125 counters to assist registration of companies on the GST portal as the country migrates to GST from July 1. Besides, helpdesks have been established in all 30 circle offices of state.
Officials of commercial tax department said businessmen and traders who have not yet registered at GST portal may get it done before the due date of June 15. Traders and businessmen, who have registered on GST portal, but have not got their Application Reference Number (ARN) generated, may also get it generated.
Commercial tax department has opened many counters, where department officials are present to help the businessmen and traders with the process.
Commercial tax officials said Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) or verification through e-sign is necessary for generating ARN.
Documents required for registration on GST portal includes VAT registration certificate, PAN card, photograph, bank account statement or passbook, and user Id-password generated in previous stage of registration process.
