Congress plans to woo voters in UP
LUCKNOW: Congress President Rahul Gandhi has planned to woo voters for the first time in the Lok Sabha elections to be held in the party for the first time. To reach the common people, Congress will launch a campaign run by former prime minister Indira Gandhi from October 31 to 90 days to reach the common people.
Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee Secretary General Vinod Mishra said that party’s state and district level officers will go to their homes to reach the voters for the first time. During this, the office bearers will be apprised of the policies of the party about the public. To strengthen the party till the village level, Gandhi has prepared a 90-day program. Officials will visit all the villages of Uttar Pradesh especially to connect the youth to the party. The party will join the youth who will vote for the first time in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
He said that Congress will also join those people who were deprived of their votes during the 2014 Lok Sabha and the 2017 assembly elections. After identifying the youth, the officers will help them in the voter list. Workers will also help in making them their voter’s i-card.
