Cong did nothing for welfare of poor: CM
Criticising the Congress for doing nothing for the poor, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that welfare of the poor and development were never the priority of the grand old party as it always focused only on its own development rather than the uplift of the poor.
Yogi Adityanath also launched a scathing attack on Congress for creating hindrance in the construction of Ram Mandir.
“In the spared time, the party did every possible thing to create obstacles for the construction of grand Ram Mandir instead of providing support to it,” Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said while dedicating the Bandai dam project to the people in Lalitpur district.
While addressing the gathering, the chief minister said, “Gone are the days when Lalitpur was known as a neglected district of the state. Now the people here are going to get every facility, including an airport and a medical college.”
Prior to 2014, the poor could not get basic facilities like electricity, water, health services, ration and housing. These facilities had become a dream for the poor and this dream is now being fulfilled by the state and Central governments after BJP came into power.
“After the formation of the BJP government, when Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister of the country, he started a new chapter of development. The poor were provided free LPG and electricity connections, and housing under the Prime Minister and Chief Minister Housing Schemes,” he said.
The government aims that by 2022, every family will be provided health insurance benefits of Rs 5 lakh along with housing, and cooking gas and electricity.
The chief minister said that his government was consistently working to bring prosperity to the lives of people residing in Lalitpur. “People’s encouragement for the development of Bundelkhand will take it to new heights of development and make it a paradise on earth,” he said.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that a network of roads was being laid in Lalitpur and the people of this place are also going to get the facility of an airport soon.
“After this, you will be able to cover the distance from here to Delhi in one hour and to Mumbai in two hours,” he said.
He said the government would be providing life insurance of Rs 2 lakh and health insurance of Rs 5 lakh to the people of the state and the residents of the state could avail this facility from any part of the world.
“Apart from this, there is a caste in Lalitpur which was previously deprived of the facilities of the government but now it will be provided the benefit of all the schemes of the UP government including the Chief Minister Housing Scheme,” he said.
