Make available Covid medicine kits in rural areas: CM

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Wednesday told officials to make available Covid-19 medicine kits to every affected household in Chhattisgarh’s rural areas.

He said in a statement that providing medical kits to ruralites will definitely help in containing the infection in the state to a great extent and hence these instructions have been given.

He said that till Tuesday 639,696 people were found Covid positive in the state, out of which 509,622 had recovered. At present, there are 122,963 active Covid cases.

The active patient ratio is nearly 19.22 percent while the recovery rate is 79.67 percent, he said.

Baghel said there will be no shortage of funds to defeat Corona in Chhattisgarh.

More than 53 lakh doses of the vaccine have been given in the state, “and we rank second in the country in this case”, he said.
