22 transport related services now online: CM

Making a virtual launch of the Transport Department’s home delivery service of documents, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Tuesday said his government is using technology to improve quality of life.

The online service is a good initiative amid the Covid-19 pandemic as it will avoid congestion and check the spread of infection, he said. Baghel was addressing the launch of the Transport Department’s ‘Tuhar Sarkar Tuhar Dwar’ service from his official residence-cum-office. He said Chhattisgarh has become the first state where the Aadhaar has been linked with transport related services. A total of 22 services are being extended through it. The applications have to be filed on website www.parivahan.gov.in.

Transport Minister Mohammed Akbar said this would bring more transparency and accountability in the Transport Department. It would also save people time and money. A tracking system is also available, he said.
