CM gives farming tips, promotes vermicompost
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Tuesday shared his own farming experience with farmers of Balrampur district so that they increase the production capacity of their land. The government has distributed forest rights to the villagers, he said while interacting with two villagers of Murka village, Phoolsai and Rajaram Porte, who received forest rights.
Porte told Baghel that he has got patta of two acres of land, which also has a ‘dabri’ (small pond) and a well.
He said they use the well water to plant vegetables and are also sowing wheat and mustard besides doing fish farming in the pond, an official communication said. Hearing that the land was not fertile, the Chief Minister advised him to add vermicompost to increase productivity.
