CM asks Congress to prepare for 2023 elections

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Tuesday highlighted the achievements of the Chhattisgarh government and urged Congress leaders and activists to become battle ready for the 2023 Assembly elections.

Baghel addressed Ministers, legislators and office bearers of the Congress at a five-day programme which began on Monday to mark two-and-a-half years of the Congress government on June 17.

He exhorted the Congress leaders to tighten their belts right away and prepare for the Assembly elections due in 2023.

“The Congress has always fought battles for tribals, youths and women and will continue to do so,” Baghel said.

Talking about tribal issues, he said: “The Naxalite menace is not a big problem for Bastar but malnutrition is.”

Baghel hinted that the pending appointments in boards and corporations will be done soon.
