Despite challenges, devt works continue: Baghel
There have been many challenges in the last two-and-a-half years due to Covid-19 but still development and construction works continued in Chhattisgarh, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said on Sunday.
He made the comment during out virtual Bhoomi Pujan and dedication of 401 development works costing Rs 2,834 crores in 27 districts of the state.
Of this, 332 works concern the Public Works Department and relate mainly to construction of roads, bridges and buildings, an official communication said.
The Chief Minister said in June, a total of 8,188 works at a cost of Rs 6,845 crores were inaugurated and Bhoomi Pujan done.
Similarly, at an estimated cost of Rs 238 crores, 658 projects were launched for door-to-door drinking water. The work is going on briskly.
The work of 312 roads and bridges in Naxalite affected areas are being expedited to improve transport facilities, he said.
