Ensure KYC of farmers for Kisan Samman Nidhi: CM
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has directed all District Collectors to complete the KYC of all beneficiary farmers under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi.
He told the Collectors to launch a drive to complete the task within 15 days.
“Under this drive, all the farmers who have not complied with the KYC mandate in banks should be made to complete their KYC within 15 days,” he said.
The Kisan Samman Nidhi is provided to farmers under the Centre-sponsored scheme which assists 12 crore farmers across the nation with an essential income assistance of up to Rs 6,000 per annum.
It is a financial support programme for farmers that is available to them regardless of their landholding. Farmers across the nation benefit from the plan. The money is sent straight to the farmers’ bank accounts.
