First Rural Industrial Park Takes Shape In Kanker

Kanker: Chhattisgarh’s first rural industrial park has taken shape at the Gandhi Gram in Kulgaon in Kanker drict. An official communication on Friday said a self dependent and rapidly progressing rural industrial unit was the dream of Mahatma Gandhi.

With the help of the drict adminration, the Gauthans run a Self-Help Group (SHG) has been developed as a livelihood center so that a larger population can be connected to various employment-oriented activities.

The Gandhi Gram is a beautiful example of how beneficial it can be in offering employment opportunities to rural people on a large scale, the communication said. Recently Chief Miner Bhupesh Baghel inspected the employment-generating activities of various self-help groups in the Kulgaon Rural Industrial Park.
