Aid for Unemployed Youth from April 1
RAIPUR: The Bhupesh Baghel led government has issued a notification in regard to the monthly allowance for the unemployed youth in the state. In what comes as a strong election manifesto for the state to undergo polls, the ruling party has announced to provide the relief from April 1st.
The notification laying out the guidelines to recieve the allowance read- those who have passed 12th standard and are unemployed will be entitled for a monthly allowance of Rs 2500, provided their family’s annual income is less than Rs 2.5 lakh. Only one member from a family will be entitled for unemployment allowance.
It must be noted that the allowance will be issued a duration of one year. If the candidate fails to acquire a job in an year, the payment of allowance shall be extended for another year. It however stressed that anyone, who declines job offer either from the government or private sector, will be ineligible for the allowance.
The application for unemployment allowance will have to be submitted in a prescribed format and once sanctioned the allowance would be credited directly to their accounts.
Those under the non eligible criteria are- family members of miners, former miners, members of parliament, legislative assembly and chairmen and former chairmen of municipal corporation and municipal councils.
Chhattisgarh chief miner Bhupesh Baghel announced a monthly allowance of ₹2,500 to the unemployed youth of the state for a maximum period of two years in the annual budget for the financial year 2023-24 presented him in the legislative assembly.
