Ayodhya temple to be ‘Rashtra Mandir’: Yogi
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that Ram temple which was to be constructed in Ayodhya would be a ‘Rashtra Mandir’ as the temple would symbolise the cultural unity of India.
“This will be a ‘Rashtra Mandir’ as India’s soul will reside in it. This temple will make the world realise the strength of India’s democracy and judiciary. The path of construction of Lord Ram’s temple in Ayodhya has been paved under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” Yogi said during an election meeting in Jharkhand on Monday.
Yogi said that the entire opposition, including the Congress, never wanted a solution for Ram Janmabhoomi and it was the Bharatiya Janata Party government at the Centre and in UP that helped in paving way for construction of the Ram temple.
“The Congress and its allies are in favour of corruption, terrorism, Naxalism, anarchy and imposition of Article 370 but oppose the Ram temple,” he said.
The chief minister said that Ram Rajya was a true example of good governance. “It is a state where no one is discriminated. Connecting the poor with welfare schemes of government and guaranteeing security is also Ram Rajya,” he said.
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Centre, Raghubar Das in Jharkhand and all BJP ruling states are making sincere efforts in this direction,” he said.
Enumerating the welfare schemes, Yogi said that the poor were being provided free houses, toilets, electricity and cooking gas connections and the BJP was attempting to bring every citizen into the mainstream.
“Ram Rajya means where every citizen is satisfied with basic facilities. This is possible only when there is BJP rule in the states along with the Centre,” he said.
Yogi said that Hindus, Buddhists and Bengalis had to flee to India from Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh. “After the passing of Citizenship (Amendment) Act, everyone will get the citizenship of India and they will also be able to take the benefits of welfare schemes of the government,” he said.
The chief minister said that during Congress regime, money spent in the name of welfare was actually siphoned off to Italy. “There is no democracy in Congress, Rashtriya Janata Dal and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha. For them, the family is everything,” Yogi alleged.
