Babasaheb coined ‘Educate, Agitate and Organize’: CM
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Thursday said Babasaheb Ambedkar coined the slogan “Educate, Agitate and Organize”.
Education makes everyone aware of their rights and duties, and inspires individuals to raise their voices against the wrong, Baghel quoted Ambedkar as saying.
The Chief Minister was addressing the Ambedkar Jayanti celebrations at Ambedkar Chowk here.
He announced Rs 50 lakh for ‘Mangal Bhawan’ and Rs 50 lakh for the construction of an auditorium at Buddha Vihar in Devendra Nagar and the installation of a new 20-foot statue of Babasaheb at Ambedkar Chowk.
He said that Babasaheb dedicated his entire life voicing concerns for the downtrodden and deprived sections. Despite facing social stigma, he pursued his higher education and worked for the uplift of all.
Ambedkar gave India its strongest pillar of strength — the sacred Constitution, promoting social economic and political equality. It provided guarantees to individuals on education, equality and work.
The Constitution also provided for reservation, and helped the society to rise above class divisions.
The Chief Minister said the state government has simplified the process of issuing caste certificates. Chhattisgarh is the first state in the country where a child is given a caste certificate soon after birth.
