Bastar’s development reflects people’s wishes: CM

Dedicating development works worth Rs 642 crores for the districts of Bastar, Bijapur and Sukma on Monday, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said the development of Bastar division is based on the aspirations of its people.

When people get their rights, justice, opportunities for work as well as education and health facilities, it leads to peace in Bastar, he said during a virtual programme conducted from his office-cum-residence here. The Chief Minister announced a ‘Light and Sound Show’ at the Chitrakote waterfall premises, a Central Library at Bijapur and a road from Kankapal to Ledha and from the Jheeram Valley to Elamnar.

He promised to examine a proposal to set up new tehsils and block headquarters including opening a Swami Atmanand English Medium school.

The Chief Minister launched a mobile application developed by the Bastar district administration to help the young in competitive examinations.

He launched the ‘Travel Bastar.com’ website providing information of tourist places in Bastar district and ‘Think-B’ society to promote innovation and entrepreneurship among the Bastar youth.
