Be vigilant vis-a-vis Covid, says CM
Raising concern over rising cases of Covid-19 in Delhi and neighbouring states, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Sunday said people, especially in Bastar division, should remain vigilant and take measures to protect themselves. Citing Delhi’s example, Baghel said since the unlocking of lockdown, the positivity rate has again risen to 0.5 percent. Similarly, reports have been received that in districts of Maharashtra, especially those bordering Bastar division in Chhattisgarh, there has been an increase in positive cases, an official communication said.
In Chhattisgarh, the positivity rate has reached below 2 percent and death rate has also fallen. The number of new patients and active cases are also on the downslide, Baghe said. The need of the hour is to stop any further spread of Covid in the state. Everyone needs to continuously adopt Covid appropriate behaviour.
