Bear Attacks Youth in CG’s Korba, Condition Critical

Korba, Chhattisgarh: In Chhattisgarh’s Korba drict, a youth has been seriously injured a bear attack. The young man was returning from his in-laws’ house through the forest. That’s when 2 bears attacked him on the way and snatched away the flesh from his hands and legs. The youth has been admitted to the hospital in a very critical condition.
According to reports, Jagjivan Patel, a resident of Rajgamar village, had gone to his in-laws’ house on Tuesday. From there, he was returning back home late in the evening. It was told that he was coming back through the forest. When he reached the Chhuidhondha forest area, 2 bears came from the front and attacked him directly. Both the bears had attacked him and injured him wildly.
On this the young man started shouting a lot, then some people from the neighborhood came and somehow made the bears run away. But then the bear had seriously injured him. After this, the young man was immediately admitted to the hospital. where he is being treated now. His condition seems to be critical.
Later, after identifying the youth, his family members were informed about the incident the locals. They reached the hospital soon after. It is also coming to the fore that the mental condition of the youth is not good, as some family members suggested. This is the reason why he was coming from the side of the forest in the evening. The youth’s family has been given a help of Rs 500 from the forest department team. This is not the first such instance in the state, bear attack cases are rising in Chhattisgarh. There have been reports of people being killed bear attacks earlier as well.
