BSF Organise Walkathon to Commemorate 75th Year of Independence
BSF organize a walkathon in Atal Nagar of Naya Raipur.Walkathon was organised under the direction of the Director General of BSF Ashish Gupta.A total of 200 BSF officers, women and children joined the walkathon.
Raipur: The BSF, on August 12 held a walkathon in Atal Nagar, Naya Raipur, Chhattisgarh, to commemorate 75 years of Independence. Interacting with the reporters, BSF Inspector General BK Mehta said- “To commemorate 75 years of Independence, the BSF held a walkathon today in Atal Nagar. Today, we demonstrated our allegiance to the country. A dance of about 2.5 kilometres was travelled in which children and women both participated”.
With Independence Day on its heels, there is a huge enthusiasm among people. As per the directives from the Minry of Home Affairs, BSF, or Border Security Force Command Headquarters (Special Operations), held the “Har Ghar Tiranga” programme as part of the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence on Friday at New Raipur, Chhattisgarh.
As per the instructions the Additional Director General of BSF headquarters Ashish Gupta, the walkathon planned in Naya Raipur’s Sector 30 and Sector 27 began at 7 am in the morning under the leadership of Inspector General BK Mehta. The walkathon began at Sadbhavna Chikitsalaya in Naya Raipur Sector 30 and finished close to Mini Market in Sector 27.
200 additional Border Security Force officers and workers, including Akhileshwar Singh, Dharampal Singh, and other senior officers from the Command Headquarters of the Border Security Force (BSF), took part in the walkathon.
