CG: BJP Candidate Brahmanand in Trouble for Minor’s Rape Case

Raipur, Chhattisgarh: Trouble is going to increase for BJP candidate Brahmanand Netam, who is involved in the rape of a minor. Jamshedpur Police is in touch with Chhattisgarh Police. City SP of Jamshedpur K. Vijay Shankar said that a charge sheet has been filed against the five accused in the case in the Jamshedpur court. Preparations are being made to file a chargesheet against Bramhanand and the other five soon. Former MLA Bramhanand has been fielded the BJP in the Bhanupratappur poll.
The Congress on Sunday alleged that Bramhanand was booked under the POCSO Act and the Immoral Prostitution Prevention Act at Telco police station in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand. He has hidden this information in the affidavit given to the Election Commission. After the allegation of Congress, there has been turmoil among the politicians here. 
On Monday, Congress reached the Election Commission’s office demanding the cancellation of Bramhanand’s nomination. Chief Electoral Officer of Chhattisgarh Reena Babasaheb Kangale said that the complaint of Congress is being examined. The BJP has defended Bramhanand. Leader of Opposition Narayan Chandel said that a few days before the voting, the Congress has “shown a low mentality and this is their character”.
In the statement given under Section 164 before the Judicial Magrate of Jamshedpur, the victim has told that she has no parents. When she was nine years old, she was raped her brother-in-law in Telco. When she went to her ser’s house in Kolkata, she sold her to an aunt. When she ran away from there and reached the Howrah police, she was sent to a children’s home.
From there she went to Ranchi Ashram. Her ser took her from there to her home again. She was made to do domestic work. Her Brother-in-law continued his misdeeds. And the girl continued to be a victim of rape. Four policemen also exploited her. She was later rescued the Bagbeda police. After regering the FIR, the names of the ten accused came to the fore when Telco police started an investigation. 
During the investigation, it was found that the victim was subjected to exploitation in Jamshedpur, Jharsuguda, and Raipur. The names of Brahmanand Netam, Karan Singh of Bhopal, Surendra Kumar of Mahasamund, Dipankar Sinha, Naresh Soni, and policeman Keshav Sinha surfaced in the investigation.
