New Delhi: Chhattisgarh Chief Miner Bhupesh Baghel met Prime Miner Narendra Modi today. The meeting of both lasted for about an hour. In which many issues of the state have been discussed. Apart from this, CM Baghel met the Prime Miner and condoled the demise of his mother as well. 
Prime Miner Narendra Modi’s mother Hiraben Modi passed away at 3:30 am on Friday. She was 100 years old. As soon as the news of Hiraba’s demise came to the fore, leaders across the country paid tribute to her through Twitter. She was admitted to the hospital on Tuesday late night after she complained of breathlessness. Chief Miner Bhupesh Baghel had also expressed grief tweeting.
During the meeting today, Chief Miner Bhupesh Baghel informed Prime Miner Narendra Modi about the progress being made in agriculture and other sectors of Chhattisgarh. Informing them about the Millets Mission being run in the state, the Chief Miner said that millets are produced in large quantities in Chhattisgarh. During this, the CM also informed him about the revenue amounts of Chhattisgarh pending with the Center and requested to get them soon. Baghel also requested assance from the Center to improve various civic amenities in the state.
Baghel said that the recovery of additional levy from the coal blocks canceled the Supreme Court in 2014 has been achieved the central government. The Central Government has been requested several times to transfer the amount of Rs 4170 crore recovered from the coal blocks of Chhattisgarh state to the state, but the amount has not been received so far. He requested the Prime Miner that the amount should be given to the state soon.
The CM told the PM that there is a continuous problem in the supply of coal from the South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) for the fuel requirement of the sponge iron and steel industries operating in the state of Chhattisgarh for 06 months. Due to this reason, there is continuous difficulty in the operation of the industries of the state. He requested the Prime Miner to instruct SECL to make an early contract with the state nodal agency and coal allocation for the supply of coal to the industries of the state. The PM has been meeting the CMs of various states in the last few weeks as part of the courtesy meeting.
