CG: Jawan Shoots Self on Duty Using Service Rifle

DANTEWADA: CRPF Jawan committed suicide in CGs Dantewada on Saturday night with his service revolver while on duty said police officials on Sunday.
The Jawan identified as Gunin Das, a constable in the 195th CRPF Batallion was posted in the Barsur police station area. As per inputs the senior officials from CRPF, he was a resident of Assam and had recently returned to Raipur after a holiday.
Security personnel deployed along with Gunin immediately rushed him to the drict hospital from where he was airlifted to Raipur. While being treated at Ramkrishna Care Hospital; Gunin succumbed to the bullet injury said Bastar IG Sundarraj P.
The reason for the suicide is yet to be ascertained. A probe has been launched. The body of the Jawan will be handed over to the family after the post-mortem, added officials.
