CG Players Clinch Gold and Bronze at Commonwealth Fencing Championships
SN Shiva Magesh and Vedika Khushi Ravana win gold and bronze at Commonwealth Fencing Championship.Both the player hailed form Chhattisgarh.Shiva was a part of the Men’s Epee Team while Vedika bagged the medal in the Women’s Sabre event.
Representing India in Senior Commonwealth Fencing Championship, SN Shiva Magesh and Vedika Khushi Ravana of Chhattisgarh secured first place bringing the country gold.
India Men’s Epee Team featuring Udaivir Singh, Sunil Kumar, C. Jetlee Singh, and SN Shiva clinched the gold medal at the Commonwealth Fencing Championships 2022. They claimed a 45-44 win over Scotland in the finals and claimed the gold.

At the same time, Vedika Khushi Ravana clinched a bronze in the Women’s Sabre event.
Earlier, the flag bearer of India and the first Indian fencer to qualify for the Tokyo Olympics- Bhavani Devi bagged the gold medal in the senior women’s sabre individual category of Commonwealth Fencing Championship 2022. The 42nd-ranked Indian fencer Bhavani defended the title she won last time picking up a 15-10 win over second-seeded Australian Veronika Vasileva on Tuesday.
