C’garh achieves 99 pc first dose vaccination

Chhattisgarh is nearing close to achieving 100 percent of the target of providing the first dose of Covid-19 vaccine to all the citizens above 18 years of age.

Ninety-nine percent people of the age group have received the first dose of the vaccine while 68 percent have taken both the doses.

After the vaccination drive of the 15-18 age group started on January 3, more than 55 percent of them have been administered the first dose. Moreover, 1,47,165 in the state have taken precautionary doses as well, an official communication said.

Till January 19, a total of 3,38,02,173 doses of the Covid-19 vaccines have been administered in Chhattisgarh.

A total of 9,06,024 teenagers have been vaccinated with the first dose.
