C’garh to prepare int’l level players: CM
Chhattisgarh is ready to prepare international level players by providing good sports and training facilities besides coaches, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said on Tuesday.
The sports academies can generate a conducive environment to spot and nurture talent, he said.
Baghel was addressing a virtual event after the inauguration of the Badminton Academy set up in collaboration with Tata Trust at ITM University campus in Nava Raipur.
Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Umesh Patel and Agriculture Minister Ravindra Choubey were present.
Baghel said players from the state had risen to the occasion through sporting skills at national and international level events to bring laurels to the country and the state.
The sports academies will create a good environment in the state, he said.
The Chief Minister urged industries of the state to come forward in developing sports.
Tata Trust gives full funding to ‘The Raipur Centre of Excellence in Badminton’. It will be one such badminton academy in central India.
